An Event Dedicated to Kura- Araqs Rivers Protection Day Was Held in Ararat Town
Country Water Partnership NGO has held an ecological event dedicated to Kura- Araks rivers protection day June the 2nd, Town Ararat, RA. Sanitary cleaning activities and irrigation water monitoring activities were implemented in the scope of the event held in Ararat town.
The event was organized by CWP NGO in collaboration with Ararat town municipality and Ararat Ecological Information Aarhus Center. The students of Ararat town N2 school and “Youth Creative Center”, teachers, Ararat communal service staff took part in the event. The municipality head of Ararat town Mr. A. Babayan also fostered the implementation of works, he greeted the event and supplied with garbage truck and corresponding staff.
The aim of the event was to introduce the implementing activities devoted to the Kura- Araqs rivers protection and making them immediate participant of the event. Waste disposal activities have been implemented in some parts of Ararat- Vedi highway, also the simplest water monitoring device was introduced to the participants, and with the help of which an irrigation water monitoring was implemented.
After the completion of the event the local Aarhus center was presented the water monitoring device, in order that they could monitor water of their own in the future.
