Action Plans towards Climate Change Adaptation at Local Level

The project was implemented with the support of Global Water Partnership Secretariat, funded by the European Union, Austrian Development Agency and Austrian Red Cross.
The project goal was to develop a “Climate Change Adaptation Action Plan” at local level for Margahovit, Mets Parni and Basen rural communities in Lori and Shirak marzes, assessing the impact of climate change on the issues the communities face.

The anticipated outcomes of the project:

• Working groups were developed, each group was assigned with a task, 
• Relevant information on communities is available,
•  All stakeholder organizations’ and groups’ opinions on community vulnerability are available in the form of report,
•  A “Climate Change Adaptation Action Plan“ has been developed for each community at local level,
• Informed public, active participation of stakeholders and an approved “Action plan“ for each community.
